{big news for the Johnstons}

Ok
so now i can be honest with you guys
I've been a bad blogger for more reasons than i have admitted in past posts
Not only have our lives been crazy busy,
I've been sick.
Like nauseaous sick...all day..everyday.. & so exhausted!
Why you ask?
well
I AM PREGNANT!
That's right!
Baby Johnston #2 is on the way :)
I am 10 weeks along right now, & baby is Due November 25th
We are so very excited!
Giuliana doesnt quite understand what is going on yet, but im hoping that as my belly grows, she will start to understand enough to be excited. When this baby is born, Giuliana will be 23 months old.
Perfect spacing, in my opinion :)
They will be the best of friends !
G & I at my appointment this morning
We had our first ultrasound this morning.
Inside the lower round black shadow, is our sweet little 10 week old baby.
Do you see him/her?
We cannot wait to meet our sweet baby!

Also, i talked to my Dr. today about doing a VBAC  with baby #2
It is something i am excited about yet so very nervous.
If you have been following our blog for a bit, you know that i had to have a c-section with our first.
I am really commited & looking forwad to bringing a baby into the world the natural way.
It is just something that is very important to me, something i want to experience so badly.

If anyone reading this has had a successful vbac, feel free to leave your story as a comment!
I would love to read your stories :)

Happy monday everyone  :)

  5. Congrats! I've followed your blog forever!

I had an emergency c/s with number 1, I'm hoping for number 2 (when we get pregnant) to have a vbac.

Definitely hire a doula! Also, is there a local ICAN chapter near you? Also I really like birth without fear on fb.

GOOD LUCK! I'm really really hoping for a vbac!! I've been doing tons of research to try to set myself up for a successful one.

  9. Yay! So, so happy for you! I had a VBAC 2nd time... such a blessing! I was determined! And 19 years ago this last Saturday, after 2 hours of pushing, our beautiful April was born! It was worth the effort, & very satisfying, and I'm grateful my doctor was willing to let me try. Love & hugs to you! Sheryl

  15. Hi there! I just read this post and it really relates to me and my family! We have a 14 month old little boy and #2 is due Dec. 29th, so I'm 13 weeks along. I am excited to see how your daughter reacts to the whole thing. I'm also in the squishy phase and can't wait to have my bump back! I love the spacing as well, although I have some nervousness about our big guy not understanding and feeling left out. I'm sure we'll make sure that doesn't happen. I also had to have a c-section the first time and when I read your like about VBAC's- "something I want to experience so badly" I felt like you were in my head. I, too, want this so badly. I want to feel baby on my chest right away and have my husband experience the birth. I hope it works out for you and look forward to reading more. :)
